SignRequest: Saving paper, planting trees

By 2030, only 10% of our rainforests might be left. Unacceptable if you ask us. It’s time we stop wasting paper and start reforesting our planet. Our partner Eden Projects works together with local communities to plant back those life-giving forests. Our role: we plant a tree for every new paid license. This means one tree for each new Professional or Business account and every new team member added.

FAQ
Why trees?
SignRequest supports the paperless movement and cares about the environment. We want to help the world grow. Instead of wasting time on tedious paperwork, we let you focus on growing your business and developing new skills. You do the growth, we do the signing.
What better supports this vision than planting trees? Support the (re)growth of forests and provide a stable income for local communities.
The destruction of healthy forest systems causes so many different problems. Trees provide a habitat for animals, purify water sources, control flooding and erosion and help to replenish the soil with nutrients needed for farming. When farmers can’t grow anything their farms fail and they have no choice but to move to the overcrowded cities looking for work. Often they have to resort to selling themselves or their families into slavery just to survive.
How do you verify where the money goes?
Eden Projects is a well-established and verified non-profit organization. We have signed an agreement with them that guarantees us that the money we donate is used to support reforestation. With Google Maps we can follow the impact our donations have made.
Does this have an effect on my invoice?
No! As a company, we choose to contribute to Eden Projects because we support and believe in the cause. It will not cost any of our users any extra money. The donation is on us.
Where is Eden operating?
Eden is operating out of Australia. They facilitate projects all over the world, with a strong focus on Africa and Asia. Some examples of countries are:
• Madagascar, where only 10% of the original forests are still intact
• Nepal, where the percentage of the population living below the poverty line is approximately 25%, 70% of whom are estimated to be forest-dependent
• Indonesia, where 40% of the mangrove forests have been destroyed in the past 30 years
